To go along with the little sunfish and perch rippin rap look-a-likes, I did up some crappies. There's a couple of walleye sized lipless baits done too.
Last season the crappie patterned baits did very well on crappies in both the size 3 shown here and the somewhat larger size 4 in the rippin lures done up in several color schemes including the crappie and we were somewhat surprised at how well the natural crappie pattern did on crappies at mid to late summer. Larger [+10"] sunfish showed no hesitation in nailing the natural crappie pattern too.
Between other projects I have been getting my crappie plastics, jigs and hard baits wrapped up so I don't find myself doing work when I should be fishing. The lipless crappie baits seen here are the final batch. I think I'm ready.
