Jason....basic red

You have red listed in the original colorant section and it says its a NB, no bleed. Is it colorfast or have people had issues with bleeding from it? I need a red that is NOT going to bleed.

Hi Tom,

I would give the X2 Red a try:

Right now I'd try anything that won't bleed. I shot up an order a week again in anticipation of shipping soon and right off the red bled thru into the chartreuse portion of the bait. So I tried yet another red I had on hand only to see the same thing happen. And no, these were not colors I got from Caney. If you can assure me that the red X2 will not bleed when shot against clear of chartreuse NB, I'll order it.

If you are using X2 Colorant and CCM Plastic you should be fine.  Right now the only X2 colorant that bleeds is Jelly Red.  If you add other stuff to it I can't tell you what will happen, but I have tested the X2 with no issues.

the top bait is a bad picture, the colors did not "bleed" you are just seeing the darker red through the translucent green, there is another picture in the gallery that might show that one better

Thanks Jason, Brent.  Brent, thanks for the visuals. I ordered the red and chartreuse X2 colors.

The colorant arrived late yesterday and today I mixed up some plastic and shot the baits I needed with both red and the chartreuse. Man, what an easy mix that stuff is.  The chartreuse took about 8 drops to a 6 ounce cup. The red about 6 drops.

I have the plastc curing right now. Just have to say Thank You for the service and the great product.

I'd sure like to humor your pic request but Ma's in Boston and the camera is with her....probably gummed up with lobster drippings. These were a special order. Imagine thinking you have everything done to perfection and then find out the plastic colors ran in every last one. Thankfully the customer was good to work with. Hid jigs are finished and I am waiting until morning to be sure that the plastic is too. I have faith though.

I haven't heard back from the customer as yet whether ornot the red was colorfast. When I cleared the work bench after shooting the new x2 red and chartreuse, I tossed the bleeders into a bag and set it aside as I was curious what would come of the colors after time. lol.

Keep in your mind's eye that this, these, were a bright blood red and clear chartreuse and a fairly strong chartreuse at that.

I have an area where pink/hot oange is a darned good summer color. I'm going to give these a whirl. Maybe all is not for naught. Eh?
