Large Injector - New Release
« on: 05/23/12 11:16 UTC »
Engineered to get hot quick and hold heat longer, the Large Injector holds approximately 9.5 oz of plastic (aprox. 1.5 cups).  It is wider and shorter than traditional injectors allowing more plastic in a shorter tube which keeps it hot longer.  It also makes it less cumbersome to use.

The injector tube is 2" wide and 8.5" long.  The walls of the tube are 1/8" thick.  The nozzle has 3 bayonet pins to ensure a solid lock, and keep the nozzle from getting wedged at an angle.  The end cap is threaded to make dis-assembly and cleaning a breeze.  All pieces that turn have a knurl finish allowing easy manipulation with gloves on.

Nice.  I assume 5/8 on the nozzle as well?

Can we assume that the new production molds are "more or less mated" to the capacity of this new injector?

Love the look of the new injector! Are you gonna have these in the smaller oz. models too? Like the 3oz or 6oz?

I don't know.  I would be interested in others feedback.  Personally I prefer the thinner injector in the smaller size.  I know the tip is an issue for some, but the usability is very good.  Thoughts?

I've got a couple of the BT injectors and I've had no problems with them.  Personally, I like the lock in nozzle just because I feel it's safer.  Initially, I popped the nozzle out of the CCM injectors several times while evacuating the injector.  It was my fault and it came from inexperience and it hasn't happened again in months.  Murphy's Law still reigns supreme, however, and it will only take one accident for bad things to happen.

With all that said, I love the CCM injectors.  They are light, precise, and easy to use.
Until next time.

I also have BT & Bears injectors. I found that the overall quality of BT injectors to be rough and the locking pins are not cut precisely leaving uneven wobbly tip on all of them maybe it was a bad batch ? That said the cross bar is great very easy to use for 2 colours this is something worth looking at adding to your lineup in the future or perhaps you can come up with something better.
I certainly think the addition of the `3' locking pins is great especially when drawing plastic multiple times in the one large run.
The correlation between the 'PRO' molds and the new injector looks like a perfect match and i will defiantly be purchasing one to add to my collection.
I like the pop out tip on the 4oz and smaller injectors and they have a practical place in my kit so i wouldn't stop making them as i bet others are the same but locking tip may be advantages for learning to shoot with. Just to be difficult why don't you make it an option, i know it means more overheads but sometimes it is good siting on the fence and over time phase one or the other out depending on sales.
The quality of all your products is outstanding and by looking at the pictures your new creation is no different so keep up the good work Jason.
