X2 Colorant
« on: 06/05/12 21:02 UTC »
Since you have had this awhile now, hopefully you can help me gauge how far this colorant can go. I believe, correct me if I'm wrong, that 1 ounce standard colorant will color one gallon of plastisol. Guessing that's it is an opaque color...Your thoughts on how far X2 will go.

I only have a couple colors in the X2 so far. One is the chartreuse transparent. With the regular formula colorant I had to use 110 drops in 3/4 cup of plastic to get a nice rich color. The X2 colorant gets the same results in about 22 drops in the same volume of plastic. I honestly think the X2 is richer in color period. The other color is red. In 1/2 cup of plastic I need only 8 drops to make it look like blood.

Personally I think the switch to the X2 is perhaps the biggest up-ward step I have seen, outside of the molds, here at Caney Creek.

Have nearly all of the X2 colors - I love them (By far the strongest on the market)
Unless it is not available really no reason to use anything else. Hoping the Pearl Silver
will offered in X2.
