If that don't do it nothing will . I'm sort of partial to fire tiger myself . I just wish I could do it in one shot . Don't see a thing wrong with those. If I lived close I'd come over and bum one off Ya. Hope that don't happen as often to you as it does me .

Thanks man. The threadfin i got a little shakey on when i added the black & ended up adding 3 drops instead of 2 other than that i like it.my friend had me do it in a 6''op paddle tail but there wasnt enough room in there for it to look good. The only thing i dont like about the fire tiger is the green.if there is a easier green to make im open to suggestions. It doesnt happen to often the only guy that asks for baits goes half on the $ when i get plastic so its pretty fair

For me that green is dead on . As far as an easier green couldn't say . That kind of thing is one where you just have measure measure . Until you can just mix you a bottle and sit it on the shelf . Don't know about you but getting the time to be precise and methodical is tough .

I really like the firetiger.

The other is a nice color too but not really a threadfin shad.

I was researching threadfin shad when I was making a spinnerbait for a customer. They all seem to be more silver with orange/gold fins

Maybe
a light smoke with CCM gunmetal .015 (great glitter that is slightly blue))
light gold
silver with fine silver flake

VERY nice baits, Dob Bro!

I've been thinking for awhile, but have not tried it since I'm simply NO good at hand pouring, and tiny amounts of plastic dropped into cavities are waaay beyond my "skill" level...dropping a small drop of Black, or Black w/ Green Pearl, or Dark Smoke w/ Green Pearl, into each side of the mold cavity to make the Signature Shad Spot, then closing and shooting the Bait.

I think the spot would be easier to paint or use a marker pen on after the bait is poured. Then you could always cover it with plastic when you put the eyes on.

AHA!  Spike-It Lure Dip Black!

I would be afraid of most paints and markers, that they'd leave an odor, possibly an offensive one.

Me personally, I try to avoid dipping baits if I can, I like to keep the least plastic possible, especially when rigging Weedless, so there's less Plastic for the Hook to contend with...but that's just my thinking.  Just dipping the Head/Eyes...the Lure Dip on a Brush, Toothpick, etc., then dipped would probably make KLK's New NASTY Shad!!!  lol

I use LC Paint and an air brush on plastics . CS paints on hard bodies. Beware the CS paint the MSDS Reads darn near nuclear . Unless you want a real live buzz and I don't mean bait either.
