Twin injector molds

Can you use a Twin injector on all injection molds for laminates or is there some molds it will not work on, and if so how can you look at a mold and tell it will not work?

I have used my twin on all my molds, even the ones that are two piece hand pours.  Haven't had any trouble yet.  Pretty sure you can use it on all molds, except of course the open hand pours.

I seen some injection molds where the producer has cut the mold where the bait is laying on its side so each half of the mold has the left half or right half of the bait instead of the top or bottom of the bait.. this type of mold could be shot with a twin injector except your color change would not be top and bottom it would be side to side.

BT does that on some of there molds.

That's the reason I posted. I went to look at the BT twin injector and looked at some molds and thought that may be the case since they do have a few side molds and wanted to be sure I know what to look for in a mold..   Thanks biglewers and Billmo.. 
Is anybody else out there that sells the twin injector?

Bears sells a blending block for injectors.  I am not aware of any others out there like BT though.

BT does make some molds that wont laminate right. But most nowadays do. Some have an option in the add to cart bar that is where the top inject option is. Multiple cavity swim bait molds need an injection port for each bait unless it it a fluke style. Some 90deg single cavity molds laminate well but the top inject ones are way more consistant. Frank

I have Bears super minnow 5.25" with hook slot. I cannot shoot this mold with the twin injector. The top color over runs the bottom color on one side every time. I think it's because of the hook slot. I have wasted a lot of plastic trying.

Turn the twinjector and you will get top to bottom on these molds.

As far as the hook slotted baits, I shoot some 5"swimbaits with little issue but you can get run over. Wish all the molds with hook slots gave the option to remove the hook slot and shoot, at least for testing.

Wutz-it gives this effect at times, regardless of your plastic temps. Laminate plate is an option if you are willing to put in the time and manipulation required. The "sprue plate" may solve this issue but I have not tried it on my wutz-it molds yet.

Best thing I have found for all molds with the twinjector is to lower your plastic temps.
