I'm having trouble with o rings coming Apart.  Anyone have some that don't.  I tired the black ones from fishing skirts.com.  Guess I'll have to start using thread!!

Are they contacting some type of solvent? If they are a cheap elastomer...they are not going to be very chemically resistant.

Are you using scent? Any idea what the base of the scent is?

I also doubt if they are UV stable...so keep them out of the sunlight as much as possible.

Did Fishing Skirts have any suggestions?

I was thinking about going to those black o-rings...I think I'll hold off for awhile!

I've never had any problems with the ones from fishing skirts.com.

If you are going to got with a regular o-ring and are concerned about solvents typically used in the fishing industry, get ones made to withstand petroleum (I like Vitron).

Buddy had it happen to two spinnerbaits.   So I don't know if he got something on it or not.  Neither one had been in the water yet.  He got the first ones I tired with the black o ring.  I have jigs from same batch that have had no trouble yet!!??   So maybe human error.
I was just wondering if anyone else had trouble too.

I use their standard  "rattle bands" and haven't had an issues.
