Green Pumpkin
« on: 10/12/12 18:04 UTC »
I am looking to match Zoom's Green Pumpkin. Here is the link to the bait in this color http://zoombait.com/2009/05/green-pumpkin/ Does anybody have a recipe that is spot on or really close? Thanks

I make my GPkn in 4oz batches, I do 7 drops in 4oz and it comes out rather similar to ZOOM's.

Would that be x2 green pumpkin green or x2 green pumpkin brown?

Beauty is, if you don't like my recipe, try adding 7 more drops and you will have Drew's recipe!

Gotta love that!

I use 7 drops GP brown / 7 drops GP green mixed per 4 oz plastic and it comes as close as I can get it to the Netbail Paca Chunk GP. The Zoom super chunk jrs I have seem to be more of a brownish green pumpkin to me. You may need some GP brown also to get closer, where I feel that straight up GP green is a very greenish GP. I would order both, they are both great colors. This is just me, but I always do my color comparisions outside in natural light. I've found that different lighting types and bulbs can really play with your eyes and distort colors in my shop.

I use all LC colors.... Sorry...lol   but a good color combo is   4oz. plastic   6 drops watermelon   6 drops pumpkin seed   and md black flake to taste...  you can also add brown to darken up a bit..

My bottle of 2X only says green pumpkin. I only use 4 drops to 4oz plastic. I like the bait just a little transparent to see the flake better. I think if you look at the Zoom bait you'll see the same thing. It gives the bait depth and reflects the light differently. Just my opinion.
Here's a picture I've shown before with the green pumpkin on the left. Made with 4 drops.
