Thank, God, another fly guy.  We're catching up to them, Kyle.  Welcome to the forum.

I have most of my rods built for me by a friend who owns L3Rods in Citrus Heights, CA.  I'm pretty sure he uses your rod and reel cases.  I'll double check when I get home.  If it's your case, it's a really good one and you should be proud to market it.
Until next time.

Fly Guys Rock Denny... Kyle here is a large reason for my extensive practice at the vise as I have to tie all his flies too... lol

I don't know why he doesn't do more of his own.  I showed him how to tie a pheasant tail nymph one day and on his first take he tied one that was probably better than my fly ties... he's a natural I tell ya.

Jason --  What did it feel like standing on "white ground" and poking a jig through a hole at a fish; all while freezing??

I need to get the pics posted.

I can tell you this for sure, I'm hooked on ice fishing. I would even plan a vacation around going (if I ever get time off). That's a pretty big statement coming from Texas.

It was awesome, Kyle and Andrew were great guides. I think the Nano was the only bait I hadn't caught a fish on so I was really pumped that the fish were hot for it.

Kyle and Andrew are both pros and made it easy for me. They had a tent, electronics, heater, the hole nine yards.

If you ever get a chance to go - Do-it!

Tight Nano lines!

Jason

I have a confession to make... I'm an avid fisherman... from Wisconsin... I've had all of January and most of February off every year for the last 12 years... I've NEVER been ice fishing.

Right on Denny... making fly ties just might be my favorite winter pass time.  I've been at it for 3 or 4 years now so it's a relatively new "affliction" but I sure do enjoy it.  Mr. Claus brought me a new vice for Christmas, so I'm pretty stoked about that.

What kind of vise did you get Jerry? I just got a new Renzetti and love it. Not quite ready to give up mm y old Regal yet, but we'll see. Maybe we need a flytying section on the forum. ;D

Thompson, Renzetti, Regal, Nor-Vise, Abel, Dyna-King...I've got them all.  Oops, I lied. I sold the Regal and the Able so I could buy more molds and stuff.  It's an illness.
Until next time.

I'm the proud new owner of a Griffin, Montana Mongoose... I've only done a handful of ties with it but I love it.  It does everything I'll ever need, hopefully the last vise I'll need to buy.

A Tying section would be pretty cool, at least a thread dedicated to it.  Once I get some decent pics of some fly ties I'll post them up.

@ Denny - How many vises does a man need for crying out loud?  My dad used to say " you can only use one at a time anyway"  lol

I don't need the Renzetti. I was perfectly happy with the Regal. I just couldn't resist.  I tie mostly bass bugs and bigger streamers and pike/musky flies and the Regal is great for that. But I was pleasantly surprised by the Renzetti's holding power.

I have a Nor-Vice.  Tie crappie / bream jigs and buck tails mainly; and a few salt water style flies we use on schooling fish.  Nothing smaller than a #6.

Looks like we have several tyers here! A tying section would be great!  I don't do many flies I mostly tie jigs. My vise of choice these days is a Peak rotary.

I almost bought the Peak instead of the Renzetti. Seems like a quality vise. How fo you like yours?
