Missing the prime time..
« on: 12/29/12 08:38 UTC »
Kind of disappointing that I will miss the entire spring fishing season coming up. As many of you may or may not know; I recently had to switch jobs due to the prison I worked at for 12 years closing. Who would have thunk it! I moving over to the law enforcement side of things, still a State job, but the police academy starts in February and last 3 months! While I may miss out on the prime fishing season, it could also allow me to purchase a newer used boat! I just got to get through the Academy successfully. The biggest thing would be avoiding injuries during the physical stuff, I'm pretty beat up already. I asked you guys once already to think of me during the time I wasn't sure if I was losing my job totally and the power of prayer saw me through it. If it's not too much to ask again, think of me and my wife once more (she's going too!) that we'll both make it through physically and academically (is that a word? LOL) I'm confident we can do it, but prayers can't hurt either!
So should I be looking at Rangers, Legends, Tritons (don't answer that Triton! j/k LOL)!  ;)

I'll keep you and your wife in my prayers Kipbass. Keep the faith my friend. The Lord will see you through. I can't help you with the boat selection. I fish out of an old beat up 14' 1974 aluminum Smokercraft. It's perfect for what I do. My three favorite lakes have a 10hp limit.

Kip, we got you and your wife covered on the prayers. Good luck to both of you, I'm sure you will do good at the academy. God bless you both.                                                                                                                                                                                                       Bob

Thanks all. I was kind of joking at the end about the brand. Anything newer than my 1994 Skeeter would be an improvement. It would be cool to hear about the likes and dislikes of some i suppose.
Seriously my wife and I thank you for your prayers.
