What fluorocarbon line is everyone using.  I have been using sufix and vicious with pretty good out comes.    Thinking of going to some higher end stuff.

I haven't tried suffix. I've used Trilene,Vicious,Stren,P-line,Vanish and XPS Flourocarbons. P-line and XPS stand head and shoulders above the rest in my opinion. Both are clear, strong, abrasion resistant, and handle great for flourocarbon. I buy wich ever one of the two I can get the best deal on when I need it. I'm perfectly happy with both.

I use Seaguar. Like the rest it is way over priced but It seems for me to work the best. I buy it in the 1000 yard reals and use it till it's gone. I'm not like some and buy new line every year. I like the bigger spools. Seems to spool better. I feel a reel and then run it behind the boat to straighten it for a while. I see guys changing there line all the time on the tournament trails. I fill half the spool with cheap line and the rest with Seaguar. I've never had a bass run off that much line to cause a problem. But maybe someday.

For panfish I use nothing in fluoro but Vanish #4. I use 8 pound Vanish for my casting in Lake Superior. Nothing but Vanish up there.

I think I've tried about every fluorocarbon line made and by far the best is the Seaguar. It has less line memory and casts smoother. Vicious is probably the toughest but it also has the greatest line diameter and has the most memory. One little tip when using fluorocarbon, spray it down after each trip with a good line conditioner, helps keep memory down

Tatsu is by far the best on the market that I've tried. For cost reasons I normally use Invisix or if just a leader I like p line.

Best that I can afford to use on a routine basis -  Seaguar Invizx. I use it in open water.  Best I have used -  either Seaguar Tatsu or Toray Solaroam.  Have not used these two much; just started testing.  But both are good so far ( and pricey ).  Testing them as top shot lines.

I like braid a lot when it works.  Whenever I get a backlash with braid I remember why I hate it so much.
Until next time.
