« on: 01/22/13 21:50 UTC »
For the life of me I can't find a hot pink recipe, I mean a metal melting sizzles water when you fish it hot pink. I tried 50 drop of fluorescent pink lure craft with 2 drops of MF red in one cup but it just isn't hot enough. I'm are wits end and at this point just wasting plastic grrrrr. Can anyone help ???? :D

You need to get the X2 color. The fluorescent hot pink is a demon color. In 4 ounces of plastic you only need about 8 drops to open your eyes wide. If you head back to the general discussion board here and look in the "nice find yesterday" thread you'll see some pics of a skillet. Inside that skillet are two hot colors, the pink and orange. Both are X2.

I use the "standard" non-X2 Colorants (I do have X2 Motor Oil), and as Mr. PJM has said in the past, count the Fluorescents in 10's, not 1's.  I use the Fluorescent Chartreuse in a color I call "Fawnky Chicken" (12 oz.s plastic with 1 Pinch of Red Pearl Powder) that uses 120 drops of non-X2 Fl. Chartreuse.  X2 Colorant definitely seems to excel here.  Try going to 80 drops, or 100 or 120 drops, and see if that doesn't melt Your monofilament.

I hear you.  I just made some pink Wutzits with MF's fluorescent pink, and after probably 20 drops, it definitely isn't retina searing intense.  It did make a nice pink, kind of like a pink Rapala X Rap though, so that should get the smallmouths attention.

two drops of the X2 colorant per ounce will certainly open your eyes with the brighter colors. Add a little more if you would like.  Something sort of cool is to shine a black light on some of those fluorescent X2 colors (especially chartreuse) it's kinda like magic... made me rub my eyes and look again.
