Stay Informed and Keep America Fishing
« on: 02/15/13 20:49 UTC »
I strongly encourage you to keep tabs on this site as it is the best way to make your voice heard about current legislation issues facing the fishing industry and fishing as we have known it in our life time.  This particular issue is likely to be of special interest to those of you who frequent this little piece of tackle making knowledge swap.  Please do what you can.

Thanks,

That is precisely why we need to keep up on the issues.  I would recommend signing this petition as it will only set precedent if anything becomes of it.  We need to help stop it early, and secondly;  I would recommend signing up to receive notices from Keep America Fishing so that you can be informed about this and any other issues that come down the pipe in the future.

I got called out (bigtime) on this forum for telling the truth about Obama's EPA and the out of control Algorian eco-freak dems in this nation. First it was lead...then everything connected. Well now, welcome to the future. Keep politics out of it...really??

Liberals are never satisified (mayor of N.Y.  announced yesterday he plans to ban styrofoam, THIS YEAR) ..they won't be till they've banned most everything or regulated it to death. believing that won't happen on plastics. Don't think for a minute that this isn't a collective effort among enviros and libs and they most certainly have a plan...cause it is.

I don't think we need to start a political party discussion about this at all. (even if I may agree with you)... The point is that we as anglers and bait manufacturers need to be informed and take action on the issues that affect the fishing industry and Keep America Fishing is likely the best way that I know to help us accomplish that.  Point your words at the politicians, that's all.

Not starting a political argument (I signed the petition) it just happens that every right we lose is taken by one party. Being lukewarm doesn't accomplish much of anything. These forces have to be contended with at every level..some on this board mistake passion for something else.

I bought a commercial Singer sewing machine awhile back.  Maybe I need to learn how to use it so if they do ban soft plastic, I'll have at least something to fish with.  Lots of different Fabrics and Colors available!
