it is and always has, shipped in the same container as 8 fl oz. glitter... it usually weighs in at just over a pound.  If I had to guess it's about 3-4 inches tall...

Why do you ask?

I plan on making an order in this next week and a buddy heard I was ordering and didn't want to pay two things of shipping, one to CCM/Do-it and one to me and he asked if I could get him some and just include it in his order. So I guess I'm kind of acting as the middle-man without any extra handling fees on one order.

Any guess on diameter size on that container? I've never gotten 8 oz of glitter before.

I would guess 4-5 inches diameter by 3-4 inches high... hope that helps.

i'd suggest putting it in a squeeze bottle. when it comes in the glitter container, you have to scoop it out and its pretty slimy and goopy. it'll stick all over whatever spoon your using and you'll have to clean it off. i put mine into a big paint bottle that i cleaned out, so now i just squirt it straight into my plastic before i heat it, and no mess!

but then how can you measure 1-2 tablespoons? well i do different batch sizes and tablespoons have a ton of variance in them. so i weigh everything on a scale. pyrex cup on scale, tare it, plastic to desired weight (about 31 grams per oz), tare it, hd additive to desired weight.

ipt, do you have any issues with the HDA settling while in the squeeze bottle? Are you able to shake to mix it?

This is not a bad idea, and a good way to not have HDA everywhere while using it.  As zsipes asked, I am also curious about how you handle settling?  I might try:
1) hold bottle tightly in hand
2) Crank up the tunes in the shop and do the Macarena
3) by end of song all is mixed

Oh, wait, that is what I do with my colorant.  Did I say that out loud?

it settles just as much as the glitter container, except its easier to shake in a bottle. i filled it up about 3/4 so i would have plenty of room to shake it.

I have been stirring it in the glitter container so I was not sure about how effective shaking would be.  ipt, could you post a pic of this bottle? Do you mean like an old craft paint bottle? what kind of spout does it have? Sorry, I am fairly new and am just trying to be like a sponge...

ok thanks! I figure it was just a basic bottle, but wasn't sure about the spout. and thanks for sharing this tip! after using the additive a couple times, I knew I needed a different way of managing it.
