Bloated book price.
« on: 03/05/13 12:30 UTC »
My old man showed me an article in Bassmaster a few months back about the eyes of bass. They cited a book called Knowing Bass: The Scientific Approach to Catching More Fish. I was interested in the book immediately. As I'm very interested in science.  I looked on amazon and the prices are absolutely astronomical. 200 to 1,200 bucks! Crazy. Anyone know why the price is so bloated?

Sorry if this isn't the right place to post this. Really wasn't sure.

Abe's has it for $99 (still not cheap!)

They are a very good used book site/store.

The list price is 17 bucks. I understand I might be out of print. But that's still absurd.

Request it from your local library in physical or digital form. You might get lucky, might save a few bucks too if you don't like it.

I'd say that's a great idea kipbass but this is Scranton. Our libraries still have microfiche.

Lol...I live in a rural area and we still have dial up internet or satellite. But our library does offer ebooks.
