Midnight Ghost
« on: 03/06/13 21:59 UTC »
One of our customers was looking for a custom made color.  He was looking for a bright blue color paired with the lighter color of the "ghost shad" worm I made for him.  I showed him the CCM midnight blue and he loved it.  This is what I came up with:

This color combo looks pretty sharp in person.  I would have never thought to put these two colors together.  Hope you like it.  Thanks for looking!

I can see why he loved it... it looks pretty darn good to me too, nice work.

Blue is not my favorite color to throw, but those came out really good.

That's a good idea. When the water is real muddy we'll flip royal blue craws or black jigs with royal blue trailers. Paca Craw calls them flipping blue. But now we're making our own. For some reason the bass can pick that color out well in our water. Nice looking bait.

Thanks guys!  I saved a couple of rejects for myself.  I will be sure to try them out.  If they work, I will be making some for myself.   ;D

I delivered these to my customer today. He was really happy with them. He said he uses this color in clear or slightly stained water.

We have a particularly stained lake near me and blue is a killer there too. It's because the wavelength of blue travels very far. Purple even farther. But purple might travel too far giving it a fake look to the bass.
