CONTEST
« on: 03/07/13 06:34 UTC »
Sorry my posts have been far and few between but we have been on a family vacation. Right after returning from the classic we left for Florida, spent some time in old town and went to Disney. Headed back to Jacksonville this AM and back to Oklahoma this weekend.

When I get back to the shop and get things rolling you need to keep your eyes open for my next post. After speaking with Jerry over the past few weeks and at the classic we have come up with a contest for everyone here on the forum. This contest will be held here and judged by the members of the forum, the contest will have two parts.

Part one will be bass baits
Part two will be crappie/panfish baits

Each member has the the choice to enter one of the sections mentioned above but only one.

The contest is limited to ONLY soft plastics, you get only one entry so make it count!

Here is how it works:
You will create ONE bait for the section of your choice, take a photo and upload it to the gallery. When uploading the photo you are to name it like this:
Bass contest "your name"
Panfish contest "your name"
Replacing ("your name") with your forum name.

Once you have uplaoded your photo you must send me a PM letting me know where it is located and what section you wish to enter.

There will be a one week creation period and a one week judgement period. All entries will be compiled into two seperate posts, each photo will get a number within it's post. The two posts will be pinned to the top of the photo gallery section of the forum. Inside each sections post you will find the photos and corrisponding numbers for each section. At the top of each sections post there will be a standard poll like you have seen in the past, the poll will contain the numbers to each photo in that section. For a one week period the members of the forum have the chance to vote for the bait they want to win. At the end of the voting period I will tally the votes and the winner will be chosen.

Now here is the part everyone wants to see!

Winnings:
One winner from each section (one bass bait / one panfish bait) will win:
A BRAND NEW TACKLE BAG
and
A CUSTOM PAINTED CRANK BAIT, from me.

The details of the bag will be posted when I return, the crank bait will be painted in the pattern of the winners choice. The crank bait for the bass bait winner will be a 2.5 just like the bluegill one pictured in the gallery, the panfish one will be a 1.5 in the same body.

Hope this gets everyones attention!

Here is the bag one lucky winner from each section will receive!!!

The Do-it Shell Rock Tackle Bag

This monster bag will quite possibly hold all the
tackle you own. Includes four (4) 8.5" x 14" x 2"
hard plastic tackle organizers and a bait-binder
with ten (10) heavy-duty PVC compartments. The
Shell Rock also has a removable padded reel case
to protect your hardware. Several accessory
pockets, rubberized non-skid bottom and a padded
shoulder strap make this one of the best tackle
bags on the market.

Hope everyone gets a chance to see this!

CONTEST DATES
PHOTO UPLOAD WINDOW:
March 13, 2013 - March 19, 2013

JUDGING TIME:
March 20, 2013 - March 26, 2013

WINNER WILL BE ANNOUNCED:
March 27, 2013
Before 5PM - CST

Like I said earlier I will create a new post containing all of the information regarding the contest. Unfortunatly I qm limited to my mobile device at this time untill I return home. I will make sure everyone has a chance to enter and everyone has a chance to win.

I will not be entering the contest in either catagory, I wouldn't want any chance of anyone thinking things were rigged if I was to win. The only gains I get from this are getting everyone to create some amazing baits and giving everyone a chance to have a good time.

No Do-it isn't paying me nor am I receiving anyting for doing this. I have wanted to do something like this since before the merger and never had time to do so. Now that I have some time here it is lol.

Also our next bass bait swap is coming up so stay up to date here on the forum!

Hope all is well,

Drew

But what about us guys who arent creative?

You only "think" you aren't creative.  What do you have to lose... Show us your favorite Bass or Panfish bait and sit back and enjoy the other creations.  It sounds pretty easy to me.

Special thanks to Drew for taking the lead on this.  I appreciate that more than you know.

Drew, this is a little premature, but when it comes to voting, should we stick with one vote per category?  One bass, one panfish?  Not talking about running up votes on one pic, but if there is say two outstanding baits in the panfish category, could we vote for both?  Thanks, Joey
