I got out a bottle of brown pumpkin today to see what it was like as a stand along color and wasn't too thrilled with it....too bassy for this old crappie dude. So I got out the lates and molds and grabbed some belly colors and hi lites and glitters and this is what I came up with.

The pearl and black belly colors are basically the same as the colors from the baby bass I did the other day and the mold was set up the same identical way with hand pours and injections being used.
The top color has a touch of gold hi lite in it along with a small amount each of gold and red glitters, .015 size. I mixed up 4 ounces of CCM soft for this shoot and used MF brown pumpkin, 9 drops for the plain old, plain old and then tossed the plain ones back in the cup for a quick he-melt and to get the hi lite and glitter in the brown. Really came out nice I think...the copper color is subtle, but its there and it must be the brown filtering the light to get the golds to switch colors a bit.
Fow those who wonder why I seem to shoot these two baits all the time, its because both are the easiest to work with for the three color stuff and I always shoot the largest mold [this one] that I have and a mid-of-the-road mold size so I can see how different colors look based on volumn. Big difference in a lot of them and If a person doesn't have two baits to compare like colors to each other its all too easy to just shuffle a so-so color aside. The plain brown plastic went into each mold to start and it was the larger bait that led to this.
Notice how I kept the brown quite transparent.
