Mo Quack  -  Adjust the angle and you are set to either drift or anchor fish. You might need an extra base or two.   I have a total of 10 base plates on my boat.  I can pull, push, troll, drift or anchor.

I use the old quantum Iron IR3 & IR4 reels for cat fishin and slow rolling big spinnerbaits. They are strong reels, with magnum brass gears, aluminum frames, and pretty good drags. You can get them on ebay new, or lightly used for $50 or less. The IR3 has a multi stop anti reverse. The IR4 has a one way roller bearing instant anti reverse. I've had mine for years and they still work like new.---Tim.

I am a huge fan of Abu and have 6 or 7 total.  I love the Abu Garcia Cardinal series reels.  You can buy them at Wal-Mart for $35.99 and I have never had a problem with them.  I prefer the 100 or 101 series and have caught up to 12lb cats on my 100 and had no problem with it.  Good luck.
