Do-it CCM appears in Bassmaster

Congrats Do-it CCM! James Hall mentions pouring plastic in his article and is doing a two part series in Bassmaster. Not that Do-it wasn't big time already, but now they're getting press time!
Chances are he may be lurking around this forum as we speak. How cool is that?! He goes on to mention he purchased a $60 kit to get started.

Just picked up my June issue from the post office and saw they have an article on pouring your own soft plastics.
Have not read it yet.
Fish for the future. Please catch and release

This is too cool even if I don't fish bass.

On another note, CCM actually made it into bear's forum and people were civil. lol

This is all good news, but I don't see why this should surprise anyone.  Do-It and CCM were both good companies before the sale and both enjoyed excellent reputations in their own right.  As to be expected, there were some cliches right after the sale, but those have been dealt with and, personally, I think things are looking great for the future.

The whole tackle making industry is very competitive and there are a lot of good companies out there...Bear's, Basstackle, Jacobs, M/F, LC, etc.  They are all good companies and each has it's own niche in the marketplace.  I think it's safe to say that we all do business with most of these companies and, for the most part, they all provide good products and good service.  If they didn't they would all fall by the wayside.

I think what sets Do-It apart from the other companies is our forum.  By "our" I mean you and me.  We are the ones who make it what it is...simply the best out there.  The forum has thousands of questions relating to plastic pouring and answers to those questions written by experts in the field.  In the past several months the forum has expanded into pouring lead molds, making spinner baits, making crank baits, tie flying, and most other things related to making our own things that fish bite.  Our forum is probably the best learning tool out there for anyone wanting to make their own plastics.  If there is a question, chances are our forum has the answer.

Do you guys have any idea how many how-to videos and YouTube videos we have on the forum?  Me either, but it's a bunch.  Oh, oh...a quantum leap thing happening right now....JERRY, HOW DIFFICULT WOULD IT BE TO HAVE A SEPARATE PAGE FOR ALL THE VIDEOS WE HAVE ON THE FORUM?  MAYBE HAVE THEM CATEGORIZED BY TOPIC OR SUBJECT MATTER.  Wouldn't that be cool if we didn't have to go searching for them and had them right there at our finger tips.

Forum membership also has other benefits.  When the new hi-lites came out, Do-It offered it at a 20% discount for forum members.  Not bad.  If that was successful for them maybe they will do more of it in the future.  Let them know what you think.  Membership also allows you a way of asking questions and getting them answered by others who have had the same issues.

Perhaps the best benefit of forum membership is the oneline friendships you will develop.  Sure, we have our share of squabbles every now and again, but they're usually short lived.  Our mods take care of it so that it doesn't become a problem.  I probably won't live long enough to meet all of my friends, but they are true friends none the less.

So, all of you forum guys (and Buffy) out there, give yourselves a pat on the back for a job well done.
Until next time.

Thanks denny. I tried that right after getting home from shopping with Ma. I reached overe to pat and knocked a front tooth out. My knuckles now drag. Note to self: use a cart.
