Possible use for your much re-heated, slightly yellowed plastic

I have managed to get a pretty consistent color here, I call it "bone".  When I have orders for white baits, inevitably at some point after X amount of reheats even with heat stabilizer, yellowing will occur.  As soon as it does, I set the slightly yellowed baits and runner aside.  When I have enough, I'll reheat, when liquified again I'll add 1 dash of pearl powder per cup, and Voilah!  "Bone"  ...and like I said, it is a consistent color.  Most of my colors from reheats of yellowed plastic, or multiple colors of plugs, sprues, and runners, I call "Born Again" colors, meaning re-used from previous jobs.  Those are very hard to duplicate, but not this one.

Nice looking "trash plastic" bait.  Good ingenuity on your part.  Is there any noticeable scorch or odd smell to the baits?  I have been making black baits with my abused, and small left over plastics.  I like your concept better.

That is a great looking color even if it wasn't intentional. I've had a couple transparent chartreuses that turned to a dark honey color like that and went into a minnow mold.

As a rule when my plastic gets to this stage I use it for pre-heating molds and the injectors.

That's a good looking bait, Shawn.  I usually do the same thing as Paul and make either black or really deep greens with my leftovers.  Your pic adds another dimension to what can be done.  Thanks.
