Can anyone show me an example of what the earthworm color looks like? I cant seem to get the pic in the colorant section to show it.

Sorry, but there isn't a pic associated with some of the old colorants.  They will be discontinued as they sell out and all will be X2 colors offered.

Incidentally it is a pinkish/purplish brown.  Think of a night crawler or earth worm.  Hopefully someone has some that can give us a pic.  Otherwise shoot me a PM to remind me and I'll see what I can do about sending you a pic or a bait.

Thanks,

Jerry

Here is a link. Your earthworm color is located at the bottom of the page. Number 37. Click the color pic to see larger examples of it.

I have this color and to get any kind of real pizzaz out of it you best prepare to add a bucket load of colorant to the plastic. My recipe calls for 50 drops to 3 ounces of plastic and its still what I would call a weak color. I use it now just to tweak other colors.

Oh....and welcome to the site.

Thanks Jerry and ctom.
I am new to pouring and have been doing a lot of reading on this site in the last couple weeks. Matter of facts when I found the forum and started reading is what made me go ahead and start ordering molds and plastic.
I received a 4" dragontail in a sample and was trying to figure out the color used. Thought maybe it was earthworm but don't think so after looking at the link. Maybe you all could help me out when I get a pic posted.

If you just received this sample I've a feeling that I know what you may have.  It is hard to say as most samples are shot with "what ever is laying around" but I do recall sending a sample 4" Dragon Tail recently that was shot utilizing earthworm colorant but a VERY small amount.  Sort of like just enough to discolor the bait a bit.  The pic Tom linked to was a more "full" dose of the color if you will.

This might help. As you can see by the teeth marks and tore bait, it worked pretty good.

I saw the pic in the gallery... nope, that's not the bait I was thinking about BUT... I do believe that that particular bait was shot when we were playing around with the new Hyper Hi-Lites.  My feeling is that it's some X2 Green Pumpkin Green or Watermelon Green and a healthy dose of Violet Hyper Hi-Lites.

Like I said it's difficult to say about colors with samples sent, but I've got 80%+ certainty about this one.  HEY... I pay attention to things once in a while for crying out loud.

Well looks like I'll be making another order for some hi-lites. Couldn't help my self today when I saw the dogdays13 deal and had to order some more molds like the samples I received last time. Looing forward to making some Boss Hogs and skinny carrots.
I haven't seen much on using the hi-lites, where is a good place to start at to get the shine like I see on the samples?
Thanks for the help.

Most of the batches used around here for sample baits contain about 1/8 tsp per 4-6 oz. plastic.
