We have finally seen a good frost here and the cool air is here to stay I think. I checked my source of pertinent information for the Mississippi River and in the last two days the water temps have sunk like rocks. We had a bit of rain a couple days ago but not enough to get the big river mad so between the water temps and shorter days the fall bite should be getting geared up big time. This will get the sumo crappies energized and it will kick off a walleye and sauger bite that will last for the next 6 months. Bring it on.
