Smokey Sticks
« on: 11/07/13 15:35 UTC »
Some times they let me shoot molds here at Do-It, not very often, but sometimes.   ::)      I threw this one together earlier today.  It's about as simple as it gets.

8 oz. Soft formula
1 drop x2 Black
1 Copenhagen sized pinch of .040 Canadian Blue

Kudos to Mr. Kyle for snapping the photo for me.

One pinch of Copenhagen. Would that be long cut or snuff?

Add black, silver, gold, and you got a basic bluegill and it will catch fish!

Long cut here... if you're a snuff guy you might need to take it's finer grind into consideration...

Nice color, it looks like that mold makes nice baits. Come on tax return!! Hey does the med. injector fill that mold or do you need the large?

I do know that the Med. Injector will fill one mold, but two molds is pushing it.  An extra nozzle makes it pretty easy to refill and keep rolling though.

Nice looking Do-It senko.  That is a lot of color for one drop in 8 oz.

That's my Color Ninja, "fixin' it up".  That little recipe is way to simple don't you think Mr. Tom?  It came to me in a dream really...  (no not really)

I think I've gotten to that stage in my own plastics making journey where I've found the simplistic side.  There are SOOoooo many cool things that you can do with very little colorant or large amounts of glitter w/no colorant or a few hi-lites here and there.  It's a fun game to play, it really is, but YOU my friend have long since mastered this stage for sure, but I've got a feeling that you still surprise yourself once in a while... eh?

I know you bass guys like the thick colors but I find the most beautiful works come from transparent colors. Opaque colors are like staring at asphalt. The real treasure to be found in plastic is whatever suits the creator. Everyone is different in what makes them happy with their wares: colors, transparency, glitter, size....many other things come into play. There is no better or wrong and in the world of plastics everyone is right as long as it suits them.

On the sly here Jerry I am going to squirt me up a bunch of baits using your recipe. I never liked smoke when I had to buy baits but now making my own the "smoke" is in my hands. Your recipe is nice. I like.
