few more baits
« on: 11/13/13 18:04 UTC »
Well a flock of   dang near microscopic fling organisms decided to invade my clear coat  >:( >:( much like the saber tooth tigers and tar pits of the ice age it didn't go well for them or myself. So my finish isn't near what I like on these. Small jaw inspired the first jerk bait so its headed to the Susquehanna river for a little research and development.  :D
Like always tips or suggestions are much appreciated

I envy those who can do this stuff.  I know my limitations and this one of them.  Good job, Mo.
Until next time.

Nice little school of baits.  That third one down will produce in anywhere there are golden shiners or rosy reds.

Awesome that you said that because that's exactly what I was trying to imitate!

Stellar work Mo !  It sure has been fun watching your progression with the airbrush.  I haven't made that jump... yet, but you've certainly brought some inspiration to the table.  I'm waiting anxiously to see your efforts progress, keep up the good work and thank you.

WOW!!!!! Just plain WOW!!!!  Did you find these patterns somewhere on the web or did you just dream them up? I ask because I never saw any patterns or colors represented quite like that, the top jerkbait is flat out dangerous but I'll tell you what, the bottom jerkbait is going to hammer bass anywhere that gets trout stocked, it is a dead ringer for  what we here call a "palomino" or golden trout, the work is exceptional. The lipless crank looks like a baby bass pattern but it is very different from any others and the topwater bait looks like a Golden Durado, beautiful colors, the workmanship is top notch, you are really good with the airbrush now, it is hard to imagine you can do better than that.

Thanks gang y'all really get me fired up to paint more!! Smalljaw  to be honest with you I have an idea in my head and just let the bait take shape as I go, sometimes 180 degrees from what I thought I wanted. That's what's fun about paint is you can let the bait create its self where with plastic you have to know what you want.
Your right that jerk wait does look like a gold trout. Lol

Where are you getting most of your blanks from?
