pics of a bait for our buddy
« on: 11/17/13 21:28 UTC »
A little back story here... I was thinking the other day how nice it would be to make a bait every now and then for someone on the forum so I thought who here is charming and dashingly good looking? Of course I  was the only one I could think of so I thought who do I give the hardest time to.... well Mr. Denny of coarse. I pm'd him asking if he would like a crank and what color? Well, thought he would pick a shad, blue gill or heck a rainbow trout would be nice but NOOOO he wanted a craw. I dang near puked!! I have never tried a craw because the scare the airbrush heck out of me. If I want a craw crank I call Drew!!! So I put my big boy bait making paints on and gave it a go. I hope it is what you want buddy yours is the red one.

Mo...you are a rock star.  That craw, thrown into the rip rap of my delta, is going to catch a ton of bass.  I can't wait to get it.  Thanks, Big Time.  I owe you one.
Until next time.

Denny

Thanks guys! The plates are a stincle I made. I'm sure  Drew could do it free hand but this rookie needs all the help I can get. The blue back is a trade secret but let just say chicks look at you like a total weirdo in the finger nail polish section at wal mart :) I reckonmend bringing your wife with you or dressing in drag!!!

Stellar looking work Mr. Mo...  everything is looking mighty fine indeed.  I especially enjoy the "shop" feel of the pictures.  Do-It Molds, Soft Baits Molds, Pyrex, Plastic, Colorants and Pegboard... the whole thing brings it home, good stuff.

Lol thanks  my shop could be the definition of a "working shop"  I don't have room for any of it but I do all of it. All within an arms reach. I the wife doesn't give me hard time since she kicked me out of the kitchen for spilling a half pound of silver glitter on the counter top.  SHE WAS MAD! We still have sparklies  around lol

Try copper in a carpet. The whole container yet. The carpet is a grey black fleck color.....with copper particles yet two years after the fact. Every time I vacuum I see copper flying.

Nice work MO - You have an approach to lure making that makes me wonder how you continually seem to be looking through the eyes of the fish you are after!!!

LOL - love the shop talk - especially the glitter on the countertops and carpet.  We set up "shop" at motel rooms across the country - imagine what goes through the minds of the housekeeping staff!?!?
Take somebody fishing soon!
