My Turn!

Leaving from northern Indiana for southern Illinois in about one hour to go deer hunting with my oldest son! Illinois only has a three day deer gun season. ( It's a split season, but I don't go for the second half) We usually get a couple of does for the meat (I love my venison chili ) These old bones can still sit in a tree for three days! And it's great memories with my son. Last year I shot two does in the first hour of legal light and my hunt was over! Doubt I'd be this lucky this year; but we'll see. I shoot a Thompson Center Bonecollector, 50 cal. Three pydrex pellets (150 grains) and a Barnes Spit-Fire T-EZ Copper 250 grain salob.

My son shot his first deer and his first buck (two shots and two deer in two years) with the Barnes Xpander Z - one pellet of powder.  The doe was at 93 yards and the buck was at 75.
