Smoke with blue flake GY Sinkos

I really liked Jerry's smoke sinkos he posted the other day. I wanted to see what it would look like with HD in it. This is what I came up with.

Nice job Lamar.

I never liked smoke until about 5 years ago. Now that I make my own baits I do smoke in several various shades and even colors. While typical smoke is a thin black, I also like to add very small amounts of green, blue, purple and then juice the color up with hi lite or glitter or both. Smoke is a super versatile color.

Thanks guys. My favorite color is Yum's Bama Magic. I get real excited when I get a pack of those in my hands. But it's a hard color to match. It has green with a light blue swirled in it. In the early spring when the bass move up to get warm They get real spooky. I'll pitch a sinko up on the bank and drag it in real slow. It's my go to bait that time of year. I'm thinking this one will spook them less then a darker one. We'll see.

That time of year any noise will spook them. So I pitch it either on the bank or way past the fish so they don't hear the splash. As a general rule it's the north shore with sandy or pebble rock banks and in that case I would wacky rig it. If there is old lily pad stems then I would Teas rig it so I wouldn't hang up on them. Never Carolina rig. I would have to pitch it to far up on the bank and it would hang for sure.
