modifying a mold

You guys that have modified your molds where do you get your ball cutters for the dremel? I have the ones that have a ball but not the cutter type. They have grit or carbide on them. They cut decent but it takes a long time to cut.

Lowes, Home Depot, any other hardware stores that carry plenty Dremel bits, eBay.  There can be alot of looking involved, but my jigheads say it's worth it.

I purchased several individual bits; kits; from Lowes; but most hardware box stores or largr hobby shops should have them as well.  One kit I purchased that I use bits from fairly often is this one :

Sim, if You're wanting me to be specific, I don't know the Model #'s off the top of my head, and I'm on the boat right now so I can't dig up any specifics for You.  I have 2 or 3 bits that are really about all a man needs to do most mods, and I'd have to browse to get You some info, which I'll gladly do, once my 28 days are finished.  One of my favorite bits is a Cutter that looks kind of like a nasty little impeller, and it's about .050" or so in diameter, if my memory serves me correctly.  Perfect for fine details like slightly enlarging a hook-shank-recess so I can use a bigger hook.

I'll get that info for You when I get some off-time, and may just pick them up for spares.

No rush at all - I just know last time I went looking for bits, I was never sure I got the 'right' stuff - it worked in the end, etc - but I figure if we can share a 'shopping list' - it will make it easier for all.

I use Dremel tip #7134 carving and engraving.  It works great.  I just did some toad molds today. I think it was 8 bucks at lowes.
