New materials for Xmas
« on: 12/25/13 15:57 UTC »
Some tying materials I got for X-mas.  If Rick comes out with a tiny football and walleye no collar I'll be getting those too!!!!!!!!!

Five colors of the old Targus brand craft fur, last pic shows the size of the patch

7 colors of the Hairline extra select craft fur, last pic shows the size of the patch

Nice haul!!!!!! You'll like the extra select craft fur, that is what I use most of the time, it really moves nice in the water, just a lot of under fur.

If it's as good as the old Targus stuff it should be great.  Haven't cut into it yet but just looking at it compared to the Punisher hair theres a whole lot less underfur.  Michaels has a 50% off one regular priced item till Saturday and I'm looking at getting the Jaquard Pearl EX system 1 set of micro powders.  Have the second set but the first one has the white and white pearl - or hopefully they have those as separate bottles.

Fatman, Have you used any of the pearl X and how do you like them? I have the 32 color set, but haven't had a chance to pour with them yet.

I've mixed a bunch of them - I use 2 tablespoons of clear to 1/8th teaspoon of the pearl EX color.  Only had one problem child but I listed that with the color below.  If you have the 32 color pack I'd order a bunch of clear you're gonna need it.

Jacquard Pearl EX kit - Series 2

Jacquards Pearl EX blue russett

Jacquard EX Solar Gold

Jacquard EX misty lavendar

Jacquards Pearl EX flamingo pink  - this was a tough one it was really clumpy, I'm going to put more clear in to see if it helps but you can at least see the color

Jacquard EX voilet brass

Jacquard EX antique silver

If you have any more questions let me know and I'll try and help you out.

On the Jacquard EX powder you have to mix it in clear powder paint and that's it 2 tablespoons clear powder paint to 1/8 teaspoon of Jacquard color.  The Translucent Candy Teal is a color I got from Columbia Coatings.

Dip the Jacquard color reheat and dip in the Teal then cure.
