5.4 lbs caught a 3/8 oz poison tail  jig with a 3" mad dad trailer. Wet and cold day but well worth it.

Here's a pic of the largest spot I've caught. It was on New Year's day two years ago. They weighed 6.9 and 6.0. As you can tell we do have cold weather in Mississippi.

Those are giant spots. We never see them that big up north here. Great catch.

Those are the largest spots I've ever seen!! Mississippi needs more resorts; hard to find places to stay down that a way.

Need to look at the state parks. Most have really nice cabins at a good price. A few have motels with full kitchens as well. JP Coleman State Park on Pickwick is one the best.

Sardis , Grenada and Enid Lakes are best for crappie fishing. Enid holds the world record with a crappie over five pounds. Crappie three pounds are common in the spring. All these lakes have a twelve inch slot for crappie.
All three of these lakes have nice state parks located on them.

We're blessed to have some of the best fishing in the world here and few people know about it with the exception of locals.

Holy smokes those are toads. I've never seen them that big ever!  Trophy hogs for sure! I don't think I've ever caught one much over 3.5 pounds or so
