New Craw mold
« on: 01/10/14 20:07 UTC »
I have been developing this for a while approx 2 years of R&D. I attempted to create the most realistic craw-fish mold I could, and I did. After I perfected the mold, I then had to develop a new painting system. I think it's the most realistic craw ever made to date. Notice the subtle details applied to the plastic to create a picture perfect craw-fish..
I'm willing to share this mold and painting technique to everyone.............for a one time fee of $500.00 Pay pal accepted.....

LOL  ;D ;D ::)

We had a rain storm last night and I caught this little guy walking about the yard. They are a nuisance to anyone wanting a manicured lawn. They always did holes and constantly make large vertical mud piles on top of the ground.
This is a real craw, not plastic.

We use a lot of green around here.  Shoot one in watermelon green / red glitter and post a pic please  :D.  Oh; and put orange claws on it.

I was hoping this would turn into a "color" conversation.  Have a look at the real thing and start thinking on how you can more closely mimic what the fish see and eat...  Have a look and notice the Crawfish in your part of the world...   Nice post kipbass.

I have dropped a small craw trap in Wheeler on "several" occasions.  There are a lot of green hued craws in the lake in the summer.

 I tried to get a straight on shot of his back, but the little booger kept turning toward me in a fighting position. lol  .Jerry this was caught in my yard. It's not going to match a craw in Toledo Bend. I'm 60 miles away from that lake. Also, the lake is fresh water and this guy lives in clay. I do however agree with matching the color of this craw, I think it could catch fish. I'm going to step up to the challenge!
Any other takers?

Last year at a Crawfish Boil, I looked over them as we picked.  There were a few variations, but 1 color dominated the bunch, with a Green-based color in 2nd Place.  That dominant color is a major focus when I'm shooting Natural-colored Craw imitations.  Black/Red was the 2nd most abundant because there was alot of Belle River seeded Crawfish there.  Pond Crawfish are usually Green or Brown, usually smooth color.  Deep water and Dirty water Craws can tend to be White-ish and Tan.

Of course, their color kind of changes through the Seasons, so have a few options of Natural Colors.

And that's definitely a Land-based Craw...small tail.  Aquatic Craws usually have bigger tails.  Belle Rivers are usually proportionately more favorable for eating, bigger tails.  Oh, Louisiana Seafood.
