When should i add the glow powder before or after the plastic is cooked ?

I put mine in after the plastic is hot.

It can go in at any point but it might make the plastic cook hot due to the density of the pigment. Best cook slower and check the temp of the plastic often if you cook it in from the start.

Thanks jerry and ctom i was just wondering because i'm getting clumps of poweder maybe but i really like the stuff.i was mainly concerned withe the clumps and i didnt really know at what point i should add it. Thanks again. Jay

Myself I add it to the raw plastic because clumping was an issue I had when I put it in cooked plastic. The raw plastic helps the powder stir in., but I had a batch or two get away from me heat-wise. After taking the heat to the raw plastic with the powder in it down a bit I was fine. Make sure you stir the heck out ofan plastic you have this in. It does settle fairly quick in hot plastic.

ok thanks ctom i really don't mind the clumps they look kinda cool in the bait but,they're for my use i only sell a few here and there it's mostly a hobby and i'll try adding to raw platic and watch my heat. Jay

I add mine before heating just like salt.  That way you can get a good mix all the way through.

In general terms, how much powder should I use for it to Glow well, but not be more than is necessary?  Say, in 12 oz.s of Plastic...

12 oz. of plastic... I would use about 1/4 teaspoon, but that's just me.  Someone else might have a different idea.

.WOW.  I would have never thought it was that potent and dense.  I was assuming 1-2 TSP and go from there (no experience yet), but I definitely like Your number better, Jerry Sir.

I used about 1/2 of that in the web site photo shots.  That was a 6 oz. batch if I recall.  Then we charged them in direct sunlight for a bit.  I'm not sure if they've stopped glowing YET...
