New goodies
« on: 01/22/14 11:27 UTC »
UPS just dropped off a box of goodies for me.  Thanks Jerry and the Do-It crew for the fast shipping and great service as always!  It might even be warm enough to play with this stuff today - high of 12 degrees!

I'm soldering here at 6 above 0. lol

Good for you on the order. Just slip on some long johns and slide those molds down along side your inner thighs for ten minutes...they'll warm up quick. Or you'll cool off quick. Let us know how it works. lol

Not too bad, 25-ish degrees in my "lab".  Didn't have much time, but I shot these with some scrap.  Uv is powerful stuff!  1/12ish of a teaspoon in 4 oz plastic.  Even my green picked up some uv reflection and that only got the dust off the measuring spoon!  Green is my remelt scrap pile.  Orange is my normal recipe: 4 oz plastic, 6 drops x2, gold hilite, with the new uv blast added in.  Gonna love this uv and the 1.75" croaker.  Even on such a small cavity, the belly is pretty easy to pour from a Pyrex.  High of 7 tomorrow means playing with my new candy color powders indoors and more plastic on Friday when it's back in the 20s outside.

Lookin good.  There is something special about shooting new molds.  One of the best things about the hobby.  If you ever get bored with a bait or color, order a new mold and all is well again.
