Getting ready for warm water!
« on: 02/03/14 15:45 UTC »
I've been getting my own pile of baits up to what I'll use this got me wondering what everyone else fishes for. I'm a river smallmouth and occasional largemouth type of guy but I know there are other species you all fish! I'm starting to learn people on here but not what, how, and where they fish!

For me, I fish around Morgantown, WV. I catch mostly smallies, hybrid bass, LM, and the occasional walleye or crappie. Every chance I get, I sneak to the South Branch of the Potomas river and that's where I really pound the smallmouth. My favorite style of fishing is using my 4.5 stick (brown and orange w/red laminate) t-rigged. The stick is a killer is medium current when floated behind cover or in the deep pools after rapids.

So everyone, let's hear it!

Nice looking spread of baits there theyll catch some fish for sure! The more i see the toad stickers the more i want the mold lol

I fish Kentucky Lake,Lake Barkley & some in North Carolina with Kentucky Lake being the most frequent. Other than always having some sore of crankbait tied on I fish the 10'' ribbon tail,4.5'' boss hog,12'' thumper,5'' skinny carrot,4'' wutzit,6'' flippin stick & many others. The colors that I fish frequently are okeechobee craw, green pumpkin purple, watermelon red, plum, motor oil just to name a few. Kentucky lake has smallmouth, largemouth, spotted bass & even Florida strain Largemouth. when i fish my soft plastics typically im either tx riggin, flippin/punchin or drop shotting them. places i like to fish them is over both shallow & mid range flats with structure & i also enjoy & prefer to fish off shore ledges
