Anyone have a watermelon red for sticks and hawgs that fish love?

We just use straight watermelon (NB) with .008 red flake and a pinch of .040 black.  I'm sure there are variations but Watermelon Red should be a staple in your box and work just about anywhere you fish.  Besides carrots, worms, craws and creatures, one of my favorites is using this on a Wutz-It with a pearl belly.  If you can't catch a fish on that you need to make sure you aren't in your bathtub.

If you are making a "stick" bait with lots of salt, you will have to add extra colorant to counter the salt effect.

I use a combo of watermelon and watermelon brown colorants for mine.

There are hundreds of ways to do it. I suggest you figure out a color you like and stick with it vs doing Zoom's, Culprit's, Strike King's etc... Just not worth all that!

Mine is very dark because I fish a lot of muddy water, but here it is: 4 oz. plastic, 5 drops lc watermelon, 9 drops bears scuppernog, 1 pinch of .035 black and 1 pinch .035 red. You could probably cut back the scuppernog and maybe add a little extra watermelon if you want it lighter.

ok thanks for the replies..I had a nice one for the hawgs, added a touch of brown...and backed off the amount of glitter i was using....Keep insulting me Jason and I'll make sure to tell everyone the extra time you spend with your baits isn't just for quality control

20 drops LC Watermelon
10 drops Bear's Carolina Pumpkin
Dash Medium Black Flake
Pinch Fine Red Flake
