I Have Reached the End
« on: 02/12/14 18:13 UTC »
Ever seen the commerical where the guy reaches the end of the internet? Well I have reached the end of preparing for the upcoming fishing season. I've cleaned eighteen reels, three spinning reels, changed the oil, oil filter, gas filter and lower unit grease in the outboard. Checked all the batteries, wiring, fuses, switches and lights on the boat. Packed and checked all bearings, all lights, breaks and straps on the trailer. Painted ever crankbait I own that had one flake in the paint. Poured enough jigs, football jigs, shakey heads, bullet weights, egg sinkers and drop shot weights along with enough plastics to last ten years. Now, what do I do for the rest of winter?

On the bright side our forecast shows high 60's and low 70's next week! Off to the lake ;D

I was going to suggest getting cozy with mama next to the fire and waiting out the winter.  Then you end with "I'm goin' fishin."  I guess all you can do at this point is flip a coin.
Until next time.

With snow and no garage to work on the boat my service is done in the fall before winter fishing kicks off. I still need to pour a pile of baits but with 4-10 inches of ice over the lake my motivation is ZERO

If you are really bored; you can come do the same at my house  :D
I think everyone who typically fishes during the winter months is having "no fish itus"  this winter.

I can share the 19" of snow we got and you could shovel!!LOL    Even with the snow blower I was out for 4 1/2 hrs. and still didn't get all of it done as the stupid blower stopped going into gear.  Brother in law is coming over to help with it.

No way would I live in that mess. Was offered a job in Findlay, OH a few years ago and turned it down because of the cold winters.

I love the snow we are getting honestly. Never had any problems with it except for yesterday. I was driving down my road (part that drifts from the wind) and snow was about 2ft. Well I was chugging along until I got to a hidden turn that is downhill facing. Well guess what was on the hidden side of that turn. An Acadia. No driver. Just an Acadia sittin dead center of the road with steep banks on either side so no way to get around it. Have you ever tried backing up a hill in 2+ feet of snow with straight tread tires? Let's just say I shoveled.... And shoveled. It's always other people that bring me to anger
