Here's a split color Birch Bug with some nice peepers.

The mold is new to me and I made a thin plate to split the colors. Both have the same transparent orange belly side. The top bait's top color is 50-50 X2 motor oil and sweet potato. The lower bait has a watermelon green with a dash of watermelon brown in it. Both colors have some red glitter in them. All of the colors were re-melts as I played with this mold. Definitely has a learning curve for the colors. The orange will need to be much stronger, almost opaque. The watermelon needs to be beefed up as well on a split color. Notes, notes, notes.
The eyes.....are on both sides of the eye stem. Dipping them was a trick...or should I say a trip.
Now to get in touch with my walleye club dudes that were asking about these critters as bait......these things look like they are staring at ya in the picture. Ugly things.
