I think most guys fish it Texas rigged. But I'll give you a different way to fish it. You can also do this with other beaver type baits but the Dd Gill has a nice flat side to it. Take the bait and Texas rig it weightless. Only instead of entering the hook from the nose start at the tail and the point of the hook up by the nose. So do it backwards on the flat side. Then stick a lead nail in the nose of the bait. It's great for flipping docks. When you flip it the bait will glide and swim away from you giving a totally different look. Try it, you'll like it.
