First fish I the year... Monster
« on: 03/27/14 15:18 UTC »
Well at least I'd like it to be a monster! Trout fishing with my little brother at a stocked lake and finally touched a fish this yearcaught on a chartreuse fry that billmo sent me in a trout care package. Thanks for that one!

At least your mitts got to smell like fish. I'm keeping a close eye on the water around here. 40 degrees, rain and LOTS of snow yet to melt.

I didn't mention the ice because I don't even like to think about it. The average around here is 2 feet yet.

I'm still fishing and literally probably lost either my largest bass or largest trout I've ever had on....

I'm very glad to be away from the ice and actually catch some fish. Overall it was a pretty fun day with about 50 bluegill and 50 crappie, 3 trout (one was mine), a few hybrids (I think???), and two unknown monsters that both wrapped up in branches and said see ya later.
