racing stripes

Here's fine example of a frog with racing stripes.

I made a thin plate so I can split leg colors and that works pretty nifty. One shot of the leg color I want yields two sets of leg half-colors and if I want the belly the same color its right there. On this dude I hand poured the purple after setting the legs in place and on the pour I had the mold shored up so the hot purple would "just" make contact with the legs and help weld them and offer a little more strength. The rest of the process has been discussed.

I really like the purple/chartreuse color combination in a frog so I intentionally built the frog with the colors to the bottom and did the clear and core color at the top. The core colors get the anglers, the purple/chartreuse gets the fish....best of both worlds all wrapped up in a plastic package.

That is just sick!!!!!!!!!! The only soft plastic I ever saw colored like that are ones that are airbrushed with special paint, to actually mold the colors in and end up with that pattern is just flat out talent with practice and passion for doing it, I could not fish that, I'd have to just keep it displayed.
