“foolproof systems don’t take into account the ingenuity of fools”

There is no doubt that most anyone who has seen or worked with a Carrot mold has thought or commented on its simplistic design and ease of use.  (foolproof if you will).  Ingenuity however can come from the most interesting places, as a number of us came to realize at this forum’s “get together” this past January when one certain member brought with him a Carrot mold that he had modified into one of the most fishable baits any in attendance and seen in a good long while.  We would consider it a very versatile bait that will draw any one of a number of species and is made in some sizes that will catch fish.  We could not be more pleased and happy for his sharing it with everyone, and at long last, it is now time to release it to the rest of the world…  Thank you Mr. Terry   (MO QWACK)

Neat looking bait, I like the cavity count and price point on these.

Rembering back to the get-together, this bait had a lot of tail movement with very little angler action. This bait looks like a real winner. Copies a leech super well.

Great looking baits! They really had some good action when we tested the promotype at the outing. ;D

Gosh...now Mo can add "Bait Designer" to his resume.

I was also at the get-together in January and saw the leech Mo created. It is going to be a flat out fish catcher. Leeches represent a big part of a fish's diet and they are present in most waters.  I'll be placing my order when the doors open tomorrow morning.
Until next time.

Thanks Jerry,

I will call when I get home in the morning from work tonight.. Thanks..

I believe one is 2.5" and the other is 3.5" I think I heard where the future may hold a 4.5" too.

Mo did an excaliber job of designing these baits. At the get-together we got to play with Mo's customized mold and the baits are just plain nice.

The body appears to be about 3/8" diameter on the two I saw the other day at Do-It. The bodies are maybe 5/8"-3/4"-7/8" in length .....somewhere in that ball park.

When I was at the Do-It plant last week Jerry had little piles of these all over the studio benches in different color combinations. I got a great first hand look at them , but I never really paid much heed to the body size since what I saw appeared adequate for rigging without a fear of tearing or ripping.

Crappie and panfish anglers will find that the 2 1/2" bait fits the bill. I am always looking for transition baits to use between the heat of summer and when the fish put the feed bag on in the fall and I really think this one will be one of those "great" baits and I think that crappies will chew on this right up until the water starts freezing in the deep fall. For the walleye angler, the larger of the two baits will work for you and is a profile absolutely unknown on the walleye scene....these are way different than a reaper and sting-ray styles of baits that some walleye guys use. I see either size as a dynamite do-nothing bait...one dropped down on a jig and held a foot off the bottom with the rod in a holder while the boat drifts along. The " do nothing" approach is a killer at times during the cold water bite of winter and relies on the action given while moving slowly. This bait has walleye killer  all over it.

Thanks Tom,
I was wondering the size of the body only without tail.. tryingto figure out which size would work better for my needs..

The bodies for the respective baits are as follows:

2.5" is 7/8th of an inch

3" is 1 inch

4" is 1.5 inches

Also the item number for the 2.5" is 95277.  I will get Jerry to modify his above post.
