Thanks for the positive reply, but for some reason I never got the notification (so that's why I'm delayed in my response).

I love the Gorilla and I shoot it in a variety of light and dark colors; if I could only choose ONE bait for bass, this would be it.  It's a perfect size with lots of options to modify as a tube, craw, frog (tip from BKJ), or leave as is.  This is my #1 pitching plastic and I get a lot of nice fish on it.

That catfish looks a lot like Tom on a bad hair day.
Until next time.

People fishing walleyes on the Mississippi up in these parts also know of the value of purple baits. I think a lot of it has to do with the water color we see up here in Minnesota and Wisconsin Rivers. A lot of smoke-based baits take a ton of fish during the fall, winter and early spring plastic bites.

I make a pro blue based on smoke but lay it on a thin silver-pearl belly color. The whole bait is almost transparent.

That is a monster flat-head! Where you fishing for it...or did you get it while bass fishing??

Although I do fish for cats on occasion, this one was a complete accident.  He just happened to be in one of my bass spots and decided to eat the gorilla I was pitching... I'm just glad I was using my jig rod with heavy line instead of spinning gear with a shakey!
