CCM Plastisols

I'm starting to run low on some softener I purchased from Bears. I've been using it with CCM Medium, 2Tbs per 4oz of plastic for 5" sticks, and 1 Tbs for 4" baby-hogs. Has anyone used the CCM Soft plasticsol, or the CCM soft additive? The soft additive descriptions says just a few drops, but I'm concerned that it won't have the same outcome. It's kind of hard wrapping your head around drops Vs Tbs. I'm questioning if I should buy the softener from CCM to use with CCM medium, or buy Bears and continue the way I have. Or would the less expensive way over time be to purchase soft and medium plastisols? Ow, my head hurts! Please help. I apologize to CCM for mentioning another company on their forum, but it's products I had before I found CCM.

It's not a problem.

I need to, and plan on, getting larger bottles for the softener.  I can sell it by the gallon if you are interested in that quantity (same box as the plastic).  If you are making sticks with salt you are going to have to add more than just a few drops to offset the salt.  Even with our current soft formula you would still probably want to add softener if adding salt to sticks.  It's not a big deal to use another brand of softener with CC.

Our primary plasticizer is the most expensive ingredient in the plastic.  However, it's what makes it phthalate free and so clear.  Hopefully in the next month we will have a better solution.  Maybe we will just offer a Super Soft formula for sticks???  I know there is a need, we are just trying to figure out the best way to address it.  Any feedback you have would be great.

Thanks,

Jason
