Nephew's first moose

My nephew got his first moose - 950 lb. male.  I'm hoping he gets the hide tanned and lets me have a big chunk!!

WOW! That's some good eating. Moose is very lean. Had a friend give me a couple of pounds years ago and it was great. Hope he didn't have far to carry it out!

Got some hamburger, sausage and 6 steaks.  He's not having the hide tanned so I got a big chunk washed it in borax and dawn dish soap and got a bunch of stuff off the skin tacked it out and put dry borax on it.  I know I'll have to do some more scraping and another wash down and borax again but that's okay if it works the way it should.
