The garage today
« on: 11/16/14 12:54 UTC »
I was hoping to get out to the garage to do some "creating" this afternoon, but not with the current temps out there. 11 degrees right now. My cases of Coke and Ginger Ale have slushed up so they had to be brought in to thaw. When its that chilly, I stay inside.

We had an annoyance snow yesterday. I went out at 8 last night and ran the shovel over everything since we only had an inch at best. I woke up today to enough to need the snowblower. I'd have punched Mother Nature right in the nose had she shown her ugly mug this morning. I did get smart and hauled the hot pot in to warm up yesterday while I was smoking a batch of jerky [which is unreal I might add] and about 7 last night I cast up some casting spoons in 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 sizes. Then after scraping the snow I painted them up. I'll be adding some tape in a little while. The casting spoons make dynamite vertical jigging spoons on the river during the winter when snooping for walleyes. But the garage, today. Nada.

You're not going to catch ME out in Tom's garage making baits either.  11 degrees is just too cold.  ;)

This misery began waaaaaaaaaay too early this year. If it got up to 50 and stayed there until April 30th I'd be one happy boy. Winter sucks.

Finished up bait swap baits last night, it was about 25 degrees.  High of 20 and windy tomorrow.  Not as cold as Tom's 11, but being outside tomorrow isn't optional for me.  Xmas trees arrive at 8am. I'll be bundled up.
