Jigging spoons
« on: 11/19/14 15:51 UTC »
Hey guys, I'm trying to get a Christmas list put together! I'm brand new to tackle making. I would like a jigging spoon mold similar to reel bait plane jane spoon! I want something you can powder paint. Can somebody please tell me which mold I need? For those of you that don't know what I'm talking about, I included a link to the website. Tia

Those look a lot like the Casting Spoons that Tom posted the other day.  Here's a link;

Tommy Skarlis did a video about them not long ago too;

Do the casting spoon lure mold that I used  as Jerry stated. You'll have lots of play room with these and the are relatively easy to paint from a powder paint jar as long as you keep the powder stirred and loose. The mold casts real easy and the trimming is equally easy. You can put the hook at either end and the baits can be bent slightly in the middle to intensify the wobbling action on the drop. I have seen these with hooks on BOTH ends and the bait clipped on the line loop next to the hook at whichever end you call the top.

These heavy spoons are walleye catchers on the Mississippi River in this area and people are already using them. The baits are a super cold water jigging bait.
