I have had some decent luck with the swim jig. I fish it with the single hook sometimes. More often though, after pouring and painting it, I cut the hook end off then pull the hook shank out of the jig body. You then have the painted jig body minus the hook. I then thread my line through the body, add a bead then tie on a treble hook. The bead as a spacer to protect the knot from the jig body. It works good jigging , or under a tip up but %99 of the time I hang a shiner on it under a float.
It's a little off the wall but if you already have the mold or know somebody who does, it might be worth a try.
