It will make your baits opaque and you'll have to use more colorant to achieve a color close to the original. The opaqueness of the baits will depend on the amount of hd added.

The additive is gray....Just like any additive...it will alter the color of your baits...especially if you don't adjust the amount of colorant. It's great for dark colored baits where you can adjust with more colorant.

Try the HD sinking additive...it makes the bait a lot tougher....easier to use...doesn't rust hooks...

It does change up your color but that same color can still be achieved for sure. Colors are generally really easy to match with HDA but glitter is harder to make as pronounced. That being said I don't even have salt in my lure making room. HDA all the way

Can't speak for the HD additive but salt will also make your baits opaque depending on how much you use.

I use HDA and make a sort of gill color that does really well for me mid summer. I use 20mL of HDA per 4oz and it is just about perfect for me.

I'd give you the recipe for this but I can't find my recipe book to save my life... let me know if you're interested and I'll try to figure it out asap.
