When it hit, did you think it was a walleye? Nice catch, now to make up some hushpuppies!

A big cat can be a big surprise. You can always tell it's a cat when it starts rolling.

I was hoping it was a huge Walleye...but it kept fighting....so that wasn't it!   ;D

Could have been a really big smallmouth...but just didn't feel like it.

It was really fighting hard and made some big runs...so maybe a big Sheephead ???

It took me a good 5 minutes or so to finally get a look at it.

No complaints about being a big cat!

It still surprises me that a cat will hit a plastic bait, someone on here said they catch them on tubes sometimes, I was always told they were a live bait only fish

It's my 3rd cat this year. One on a Do-it spinner bait, one on the Do-it swim bait and this one on the glider.

Channel cats are like raccoons. They'll eat anything.

They'll eat anything.

That can apply to a lot of fish out there, but cats seem more like an opossum to me... having the same opportunistic appetite but a bit slower moving.
